Just because you are spending $*+ per night does not mean your belongings are safe!!!!!After 10 days of hectic travel in Costa Rica we decided we needed a little bit of luxury. Unfortunately we felt a false sense of security upon arriving at the hotel and having to pass through 3 gaurd stations just to get to the front door. We stayed four nights and really enjoyed the resort overall. But as soon as we checked out and began driving away my daughter discovered that the case containing her Nintendo DS and 6 games was missing from her backpack! She had kept her backpack in a corner of the room untouched from the time we arrived until we left. The in-room safe is very small and we had secured many other items there and didn't think we needed to worry about our childrens toys. I reported it to the hotel and after 2 weeks and several emails their investigation is "inconclusive" and all they are willing to do is credit $*. With that being said, The hotel is beautiful and the pool is amazing! The room was very clean and fully met our expectations. The breakfast buffet was wonderful, so many choices and all delicious! We ate lunch at the pool bar every day and would say the food was average and overpriced...very typical of hotels. If you choose to stay at the Marriott just BEWARE, it is apparently no safer than any other place in Costa Rica.

From the moment we arrived at Los Suenos we were greeted by an exceptional staff, a cool glass of delicious tropical fruit juice, and a beautiful room. We had the most magnificent view of the mountains and the Pacific. The hotel is appointed with gorgeous spanish architecture and three spectacular pools and waterfalls. We ate at several of the onsite restaurants and had delicious sea bass and drinks for a very reasonable price. The spa service is excellent with a relaxing message with a very professional staff of ladies. The spa is clean, relaxing and exceeded our expectations. We arranged two tours with the tour group and enjoyed the zip line and Manuel Antonio National Park with our fabulous guide Mario who made the trip more than enjoyable. The whole experience is top notch, gorgeous views, excellent service and now we have memories to last a life time. You will not be dissapointed!!!!

I was walking to my room and fell down into some bushes. Not 10 seconds passed before there were 3 people there to help me up. (and each of them knew my name) At breakfast it was good morning senor S****** and went on all day. My family played hide and seek in the very large pool. The room was lovely, the golf good, fishing was great and there were some interesting restaurants nearby. We were close enough for a day trip to Manuel Antonio National Park which was exciting. My wife, a professor sent her boss (a Dean) there and she still has her job.

LOVED OUR ROOM EVEN THO IT FACED THE GROUNDS. STAFF VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. NOT AS EASY ACCESS FOR TOURS AS I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE. POOL AREA IS BEAUTIFUL. BEACH IS NOT AS NICE AS WE HAVE SEEN IN CARRIBEAN. ARENAL VOLCANO WAS WORTH THE TRIP. DINNER AT VILLA CALLETAS WAS WELL WORTH IT FOR THE SUNSET VIEW ALONE. WILL PLAN TO STAY AGAIN.

The property is nice, and the pool is incredible, but the pool is the only reason to go there. I paid over $1,700 for 4 nights. Our view was of the parking lot. Buses woke us up throughout the night. It's a "Beach Club" but the beach isn't usable, it's made up of debris filled brown sand and dirty water. The marina is neat, but it's a long walk from the hotel. Food was average and the staff was friendly. We saw incredible wildlife in other parts of Costa Rica, but only iguanas, and a racoon in our hallway here.
If you have lots of money, and you want to sit by the pool, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you can see a lot more of Costa Rica for a lot less money elsewhere.
